MONDAY
MARK 12:17
HONOR GOD AND DO
HIS WILL

When an entrapment was planned for Jesus, He was asked about Caesar’s image being on a coin. His reply was swift and pointed, for He reminded them that the coin was Caesar’s and all things belonged to God.

When we look at the things of this life that affect us, we must be willing to properly place our devotion and respect.

We must also be willing to realize that although the image of Caesar is on the coin and he is respected for this, God owns everything and is the supreme ruler of heaven and earth.

TUESDAY
MATT. 5:34-37
A TRUSTED TONGUE

Jesus reminds us that our word should be all that is needed when we make promises or talk with others. Therefore, we don’t need to add the phrase, “I swear before God” to our statements.

Our Lord sets a high standard for us and we must never willingly sink beneath it, because we are God’s sons and daughters.

With this in mind, we realize that we are not victims of circumstance or weaklings in the faith because we will stand on His Word, so others can stand on our word.

WEDNESDAY
MATT. 19:4-7
REMAIN FAITHFUL TO EACH OTHER

When we are reminded that God puts together unions that man can’t destroy; we know marriage is safe when God is honored in it and the husband and wife are willing to follow Him.

Is your marriage working? If it is it isn’t because of you, instead it is because of God’s power.

His presence and power will make your marriage work when everybody else is trying to sever your relationship to pay homage to the destroyer of lives and souls. You have the peace of Good in your life if you want it.

THURSDAY
MATT. 5:24-26
SEEK A POINT OF CONCILIATION

This is valuable because we differ many times on things that don’t matter and despise people who are neither horrible, nor despicable; they just differ with us.

We also disregard the obviousness of the opportunity to forgive and heal; instead we go our way and suffer much harm to others and ourselves because we become stiff-necked and stubborn.

We may not ultimately agree on all matters, instead we may agree to disagree. That’s more peaceful, isn’t it?

FRIDAY
MARK 9:36-41
GOD’S OTHER SHEEP

The disciples didn’t realize how fast Christianity was spreading, so they became suspect when there were other people doing what they thought was their special task.

Jesus told them that there were others who were not of the disciple’s inner circle who were doing the same things under God’s direction.

However, they probably thought they should know everyone who was doing what God inspired them to do. Consequently, they thought it was impossible for others to be where they were with God if they weren’t in their group.

Although we don’t know every Christian in the world, we can discern who belongs to God because of our relationship with Him and His Spirit’s influence upon our lives.

SATURDAY
LUKE 10:7-10
BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT GOD SENDS YOUR WAY

When you are blessed, stop complaining and be grateful to God for each gift that He shares with you.
This is important because we know He knows what is best for us and we should never want what He doesn’t want in our lives.

God also will never leave us nor forsake us and we should always express our gratitude to Him for this.

Do you know anyone who is always complaining? Do you also complain and forget the source of your blessings and whine because you didn’t receive the latest one that you desired?

Instead, be grateful for every blessing you have received and feed from the bounty of your keeper, while following your guide. Have you followed Him lately?

Think About It!’

SUNDAY
JOHN 15:11-13
LOVE ONE ANOTHER

It is not enough to love ourselves; we must also love one another. This is empowering, because we can’t hurt those we love. We also can’t do harmful things to those we want to see grow closer to God.

Remember, we aren’t responsible for what others do; instead we are responsible for our response to the wrongdoing.

Our challenges also make us strong in spite of all that we do to try to make life work out our way.

Remember, without a struggle butterflies can’t fly and without difficult workouts athletes won’t become outstanding in their primary sport.

Accordingly, we grow closer to God n the midst of our trials.
